NEW DELHI: Volumes handled at major ports in the country in June climbed from a month earlier even after the clearing of consignments imported from China was delayed, according to a report by IDFC Securities. Major Indian ports recorded volumes of 49 mt in June, an 8% increase month-on-month (12% if adjusted for number of days) and a decline of 14% year-on-year. Volumes fell 21% in April and 23% in May from a year earlier.
