Gaurav Arya: Sushant death probe: ED summons Goa businessman with drug link, Rhea may be quizzed by NCB

In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned a Goa-based businessman in connection with its money-laundering probe.

Gaurav Arya, who runs a hotel in the coastal state, has been asked to depose before the central probe agency at its office in the Ballard Estate area of Mumbai on August 31. The summons was stuck at his property in Goa as the agency was not able to get in touch with him, reported
PTI.

Arya is being called after the ED came across some mobile phone messages reportedly sent by actor and Rajput’s live-in partner Rhea Chakraborty to him in 2017 and they purportedly indicate discussion of certain banned narcotics.

The ED has also intimated the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) about these purported drugs-linked chats and the anti-narcotics agency is now probing these leads.

According to the news agency
PTI, it is expected that the NCB will soon summon various people who feature in the “WhatsApp conversations” that were obtained by the ED from two mobile phones of Rhea after forensic cloning.

Rhea is expected to be called for the NCB grilling later.

The ED’s case filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) stems from an FIR filed by Rajput’s father on July 25 with the Bihar Police in Patna against Rhea, her father, mother Sandhya Chakraborty, brother Showik, Rajput’s manager Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi and unknown persons, accusing them of cheating and abetting his son’s suicide.

Rajput’s father has also alleged financial irregularities in his complaint to the police.

Bidding Farewell To Sushant Singh Rajput – An Actor & A Technopreneur

The Final Goodbye

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide shocked everyone. The Mumbai police reported on Sunday that he was found hanging his Bandra apartment.

The 34-year-old actor was known for his remarkable journey from the small screen to big banner movies despite several controversies.

Here’s a look at his journey from a new entrant to being a superstar and a technopreneur.

How It Began

Sushant Singh Rajput became a popular household name after his debut in the 2009 television show ‘Pavitra Rishta’, along with actress Ankita Lokhande (R). While shooting for the family drama, the duo fell in love. The couple dated for six years, and called it quits in 2016.

Entering The Big League

Sushant Singh Rajput joined the new-age actors list that includes Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao. In no time, he became a common name in the Indian film industry. He started bagging several endorsement projects and movies in his kitty.
