Tech firm Altimetrik enables 100% work from home

Bengaluru: Technology firm Altimetrik said it has enabled 100 per cent work from home for its 2500 plus global workforce within 18 days to ensure business continuity during Covid-19 lockdown. About 1800 employees, making up 70 per cent of the company’s employees, work out of India.

The company initiated its business continuity plan (BCP) in March first week in India when the Covid-19 cases were being initially reported. The plan covered 15 cities across eight countries where Altimetrik has a presence, including India, USA, Uruguay, Singapore, Japan, Canada, Poland and UAE, the company said in a press release.

Ranga Kanapathy, the company’s head of engineering and India Technology Centre said, “we created a taskforce for BCP, preparation, testing and roll out to cover all stakeholders including employees and customers. The taskforce included the entire India leadership team, global senior management functionaries and representatives of support functions.”

He added: “We have equipped all our employees with laptops. We even shipped laptops to new joiners and dongles to employees working from remote locations. We also conducted online sessions with doctors to educate employees on Covid-19 safety precautions. Next, we carried out BCP in tandem with our client’s plans in a phased manner in a safe and secure environment. We thus ensured 0 disruption of delivery schedules and 100 per cent client support.”
